Margaret J. Bar's Obituary
Margaret J. Bar, age 68, of Westlake, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Cleveland.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan and been a resident of Westlake since 2005, moving from Frederick, Maryland, where she had lived since 1989. She was a resident of North Ridgeville from 1976-1989.
Margaret worked as an accounting technician for Defense Finance Accounting Services (DFAS) in Cleveland for 8 years.
She was a member of St. Ladislas Church in Westlake. She was an active member in the Olde Town Hall Theater in North Ridgeville in the 70’s and 80’s. She continued her theater activity when she moved to Frederick, Maryland at the Weinberg Center. While living in Maryland, she became one of the founding members of the Frederick’s Browns Backers.
She helped her fellow man by frequently donating plasma with the American Red Cross. She also helped our furry friends by donating regularly to the ASPCA.
Recently, she became very involved in researching the Constitution and our rights as Americans.
Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie Klomstad of North Ridgeville, Jean Shoemaker of Cleveland, Amy (Norman) Baumes of St. Cloud, Florida; son, Christopher (Marigrace) Klomstad of Martinsburg, West Virginia; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Bar of New Chesterland, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eleanor (nee Smitka) Bar and brother, Edward Bar Jr.
Friends may call Sunday from 5-7PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A 10 AM Mass will be held on Monday at St. Ladislas Church, 2345 Bassett Rd., Westlake. Fr. Don Snyder will be the celebrant. Please meet at church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
