Manona Mcvey's Obituary
Manona Rose "Cookie" McVey (nee Cook), age 76, of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday at her home following a long illness.
Born in Sugarcreek, she was a resident of North Ridgeville for 46 years moving from Amherst.
Mrs. McVey worked as a school bus driver for Avon City Schools and also as a cafeteria worker for the North Ridgeville City Schools until retiring in the mid 1980's. She also was a Mary Kay consultant for over 20 years.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Amherst and the Beta Sigma Phi women's group for 30 years.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, playing cards, bingo and her three cats.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Fenohr and Cynthia Judy both of North Ridgeville; son, Denis Scott McVey of North Ridgeville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. McVey in 1995; brothers Alton and Elmer Cook and her parents, Clarence and Clara Cook.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM. Rev. William Seith, Pastor of Zion United Methodist will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
