Lucy White's Obituary
Lucy White (nee Cyrus), age 85, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the University Hospital Elyria Medical Center after a sudden illness.
She was born on March 19, 1932 in Ft. Gay, West Virginia, and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 50 plus years, moving from Lagrange and Cleveland. She was a past parishioner of the Sugar Ridge Baptist Church and was attending The River Church of God in North Ridgeville
Lucy was a true people person who lit up any room she walked into with her smile, and the hugs she shared with those she met. She loved spending time with her family, whom she enjoyed cooking for. Lucy was fond of the outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing or just watching the wildlife and birds at her feeder. The summer months would find her tending to her garden.
She is survived by her daughters Aggie (Robert) Reed of W.V. and Carolyn (Jeff) Lewis of Medina; sons George F. Jr. (Marlene) White of North Ridgeville and Kenneth (Casey) White of CO.; grandchildren Jason (Kim Petro) Smigel, Darla (Dave) Hadden, Allison (Matthew) Harden, Robert A. Reed Jr., Ryan Reed, Kaitlin (Jacob Harris) Reed and Rowan White; eight great grandchildren ages 8 to 1 year old; sisters Ludy (Rush) Copley of W.V., Florida Pauley of W.V. and Louise Hutchins of Columbus, OH; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lucy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, George F. White Sr.; her parents James and Elizabeth (nee Zornes) Cyrus; brothers Jerry, James, Hubert, Willie, Charlie, Arlin and Jay Cyrus.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Allison Harden will officiate. Interment will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
