Lowell Mathes' Obituary
Lowell E. Mathes, 70 of Spring Hill Florida, went home to the Lord Wednesday, December 10, 2008 following a short illness.
He was born and raised in Crossville, TN, and moved to the Cleveland area in 1964. He retired from Carpenter's Union in 1995 following thirty-one years service as a construction worker, and then moved to Florida. Mr. Mathes was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter, and a dedicated humanitarian. He loved to serve and help people every day, and will be missed by many.
Surviving is his wife of fifty years, Maxine (nee Garrison) of Spring Hill, FL. He was the dear father of Terry (Mary Ann) of Avon, Sherry George (Bud) of Wellington and Darrell (Shelly) of Grafton, and PaPa of six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Breaves and Ruby Mathes (nee Patton) and brother, Euell.
Visitation Friday from 6-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Further visitation, services, and burial to take place in Crossville TN. In lieu of flowers, donations have been suggested to New Life Hospice, 3700 Kolbe Rd., Lorain, OH 44053.
