Louis T. Trotta's Obituary
Louis T. Trotta, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home on March 9, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on August 13, 1946 in Lorain and has lived in North Ridgeville for the past 11 years, moving from Sheffield Lake.
Louis worked as a teacher in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights school district for 35 ½ years, retiring in 2004. He also acted as the technical director for the school’s drama club for 32 years.
He truly enjoyed the outdoors, and was fond of fishing, hiking, biking and travel, especially to the national parks. He was very handy and could often be found fixing things around the house. More than anything, Louis was a family man, and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon, (nee Tarzian); children Michael (Gina) Trotta of Chesterfield, MI, Carrie (Jason) Rittenhouse of Avon and Jim (Michelle) Trotta of Columbus; grandchildren Anthony, Christina, Angelina, Luke, Owen and Liliana; sisters Phyllis Lindstrom of Palo Alto, CA and Sandra (Robert) Meister of Lorain; brother Dr. Phillip (Rosilee) Trotta of St. Louis, MO; aunt Elizabeth (Dan) Barnicle of Lorain; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip and Ann (nee Jurczynski) Trotta and stepmother Ellen Trotta.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Friday 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday for a 9:30 prayer service preceding a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, 2640 Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon 44011.
