Louis J. Resko Sr.'s Obituary
Louis J. Resko Sr., age 82, of North Ridgeville, passed away on December 10, 2017 at University Hospital in Avon after a long illness.
He was born on March 19, 1935 in Lorain and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 57 years, moving from Avon. Louis worked as a job setter at the General Motors Parma plant, retiring in 1993 after 36 years of service. He was a member of St. Peter Church, the Sheffield Lake V.F.W. Men’s Auxiliary, Avon V.F.W. Social Member, Vermilion AMVETS Post 22 and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
In his spare time, Louis enjoyed golfing, woodworking and model railroading.
He is survived by his daughters Marie (Jim) Dault of Florence, WS and Alice (Steve) Logsdon of Houston, TX; sons Louis Resko Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC and Larry (Angie Whitacre) of LaGrange; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sister Loretta (Leon) Beach of North Ridgeville.
Louis was preceded in death by his wife Mary; infant daughter Margaret Resko; infant son Charles Anthony Resko; daughter Joanne Whitten; parents Steve and Margaret (nee Demitter) Resko and an infant brother.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Friday from 5-8 p.m. where services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. (Rev. Inurnment will be in St. Peter Cemetery, N. Ridgeville.
