Lillian A. Mattis' Obituary
Lillian A. Mattis (nee Hill), age 93, of Elyria, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Rocky River Village after a lengthy illness. She was born on November 4, 1930 in Lakewood and had been a longtime resident of Elyria. Lillian worked in the cafeteria at Deaconess Hospital in Cleveland. She enjoyed baking and collecting apple themed figurines. She loved planning family reunions and going on picnics. Lillian truly cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who enjoyed the specialty themed pancakes she made for them. She is survived by her sons Gary (Sue) Toich of Elyria and Jerry (Janet) Toich of Olmsted Falls; grandchildren Michelle (Jeff) Kundrod, Jennifer (Brian) Glowacki, Jeff Toich, Kim (Mitchell) Phillips, Emily Toich, Lisa (Kyle) Hayes, Lindsay (Randy Perkins) Toich, Sam Toich, Bryan (Sara) Toich, Angela Toich and Nicholas (Michael Javurek) Toich; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Lillian was preceded in death by her son Terry (Judy-Surviving) Toich; parents Andrew and Lillian (nee Billings) Hill; brothers Frank, Robert, George and Jack; sisters Josephine and Jeanne. Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be private .
