Lillian M. Doney's Obituary
Lillian Doney, age 93, passed away on August 16, 2022. Lillian was born on September 21, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1948 she married Charles Doney and was a loving wife for 52 years until his death. Once they were married, Lillian and Charles moved to Norwalk and then Milan, Ohio where Lillian was employed as an office worker. She left the working world in 1961 to raise their two children. In 1988, they began spending their winters in Lake Wales, Florida. Lillian made Lake Wales her permanent home in 2003 for eleven years before moving to Avon Lake, Ohio.
Lillian and Charles loved to roller skate and did so into their seventies. Additionally, Lillian enjoyed boating, bowling, exercising, sewing, playing pinochle, watching movies and listening to music.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Karen (David) Meinert; son, Gary; grandchildren, Brian and Erin Meinert; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Lillian was preceded in death by her sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be private. Interment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH.
