Lila M. O'Dor's Obituary
Lila M. O’Dor (nee Gutzman), age 89, of Elyria passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Life Care of Elyria. She was born in Elyria, raised in Avon, and graduated from Avon High School in 1949 before moving back to Elyria in 1953. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Lila worked at J.C. Penney for 29 years before retiring in 1992. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid Cleveland Cavs fan. Lila was very giving of herself to everyone around her and she touched the lives and hearts of many. She is survived by her son Gary of Lorain, daughters Cynthia (Lester Lee) of Elyria, and Lori (Daniel) Black of Florence Twp.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 2009; parents John and Hattie Gutzman; brother Henry Gutzman; sisters Margaret Evans, Virginia Ziehm, and Joann Albert. The family will celebrate her life with a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements by Bogner Family Funeral Home, North Ridgeville.
