Leota Jones' Obituary
Leota M. Jones (nee Streeter), 89 of North Ridgeville passed away peacefully at the Hospice Care Center at the Renaissance, Olmsted Twp. On Tuesday, January 11, 2011. She was born October 15, 1921 in Battle Creek, Michigan and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 19 years. A homemaker, Leota was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Westlake and she enjoyed crocheting doll clothes, sewing, crafts, baking, flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include 6 daughters, Mary (Dave) Moss of Crystal River, FL, Shirley Kent of West Palm Beach, FL, Ann James, Leota (Orvil) Vanover and Eva (Bert) Marks all of North Ridgeville and Margarette (Terry) Haney of Crossville, TN, a son, Rex (Teresa) Rusaw of Homasassa, FL, a step-son Joe Jones of Newport Richey, FL, 28 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willet Rusaw, Jr., her second husband, Clarence Jones, a daughter, Nancy Moss, 2 step-sons, Willet Rusaw, III and Ernest Rusaw, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends will be received from 5-8 P.M. Friday, January 14, 2011 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd. where funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday, January 15, 2011. Rev. Clifford Jones, pastor of New Apostolic Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Nesbitt Cemetery, Grafton Twp. Memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of the Western Reserve 300 East 185 St. Cleveland, OH 44119.
