Leon J. Huckleberry's Obituary
Leon J Huckleberry, age 93, of North Ridgeville passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at his home. He was born in Lakewood and has recently been living in North Ridgeville and formerly of Avon Lake. He was a member of the US Navy and worked most recently as the Custodial Manager for The University of Texas at Austin. Leon enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, traveling, especially to Black Hills SD and Gatlinburg, and spending time outdoors. Family was his world. He is survived by children Tammy (Bryan Williamson) Deely of Sheffield Village; David (Kathy) Huckleberry of Knoxville, TN; Peter (Carol) Huckleberry of Avon Lake; Susan Huckleberry of North Ridgeville; and Michael Huckleberry of Elyria; niece Cheryl (Tom) Domitor of Myrtle Beach, SC; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Huckleberry; parents Archie and Catherine Huckleberry. His family remembers him as a man that was always there when you needed him. He went to great lengths to take care of his family and bring them happiness and comfort. He was a man that focused on the positives in life, always wearing a smile and telling wonderful stories. He was truly a great man that was adored by his family who will miss him dearly.
