Leo McKinney's Obituary
Leo McKinney, age 55, of Vermilion passed away Thursday November 5, 2009 at Community Health Partners Community Region Health Center, Lorain following a brief illness.
Mr. McKinney was born in Martin, Kentucky. He had resided in Vermilion the past 22 years having moved from Lorain.
He retired from Ford Motor Company, Avon Assembly Plant this past June after 38 years.
He was a member of UAW Local 2000, Avon.
His hobbies included golfing, puttering around the house and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Roxanna (nee Alexander), two daughters, Betty and Bobbie McKinney, both of Vermilion, five grandchildren, William, June, Samantha, Jordan and Lillian, two brothers, Geno and Ervin (Amy) McKinney both of Lorain and four nephews, Steven, Jacob, Michael and William McKinney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. And Mellie Mae (nee Tackett) McKinney.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday in the funeral home. Rev. Tom Spaulding, Pastor of New Life Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
