Lena Hershey's Obituary
Lena B. Hershey (nee Lilly), age 75, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009, at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a long illness.
She was born in Flat Top, West Virginia and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1963, moving from Cleveland.
Lena worked as a machine operator for Dreco Inc. in North Ridgeville for 22 years, retiring in 1995. She previously worked for Presson Pie Company in Cleveland.
She was a member of Sugar Ridge Baptist Church, North Ridgeville.
She enjoyed reading and was an avid Indians baseball fan.
Survivors include her husband, James Hershey Sr.; daughter, Linda E. (Jerry) Bell of North Ridgeville; step-daughter, Linda (Charles) Sherrard of Elyria; step-son, James (Sherri) Hershey Jr. of North Ridgeville; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Iva Hatcher of Inverness, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Hatcher in 1974; granddaughter, Amanda Bell; brothers, Toy and Freddie Lilly; sister, Thelma Lilly; parents, William and Roxie Lilly.
Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9PM Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville and Friday, December 4, 2009, from 10 AM until the times of services at 11 AM at Sugar Ridge Baptist Church, 36600 Sugar Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Rev. Mike Manosky, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
