Lawrence "Larry" M. Ives' Obituary
Lawrence ‘Larry” Ives, age 76, of Elyria, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain.
He was born in Elyria, where he lived until moving to North Ridgeville in 2003.
Lawrence was a graduate of Elyria High School, class of 1958. Larry was a member of the National Guard from 1956-1966. He worked as a Job Setter at Ridge Tool for 41 years until his retirement in 2001.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and bowling in the Moose and Elks leagues. Larry was a member of the Am Vets, Elyria Post 32, Loyal Order of the Moose, Elyria 778, and the Masonic Lodge, Elyria for over 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carroll of 35 years; sons, Randy (Cheryl) Ives of Grafton, Brian (Tammy) Ives of East Ridge, TN; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Audrey Reising of Elyria; brother Jack (Jane) Ives of Elyria, and brother-in-law, Gilbert “Fuzz” Reising of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Mildred Ives; brother, Dick Ives; sisters, Beverly Reising and Joann Ives.
Friends may call Saturday from 10AM until time of service at 12PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery at a later date.
