Rev. Lawrence L. Dickerson's Obituary
Rev. Lawrence L. Dickerson, age 93, of Grafton, went to his heavenly home Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Keystone Pointe surrounded by his family. He was born in Elliott County, KY and had been a resident of Grafton for the past 40 years, moving from North Olmsted. He worked as a truck driver at Fisher Body for many years. He was active and served in many churches. He had a radio broadcast in Cleveland in 1960. In 1968 he pastored a church on Bridge Street in Cleveland, and then Lakeview Freewill Baptist in Grafton for 12 years. He held 2 week revivals every year in the 1960’s at Rocky Branch Church in KY. Many souls were saved throughout his ministry. Lawrence and his wife Louise enjoyed traveling to Niagra Falls or Surgar Creek, OH to celebrate their wedding anniversary yearly. He also enjoyed reading the bible, quoting it often, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 74 years Louise; children Roger (Carol) of Wakeman, Barbara (Tom) Simpson of S. Amherst, Brenda (Edward) Stephens of Mentor, Gail (Barry) Hamilton of KY.; grandchildren Doug (LeeAnn) Dickerson, Wayne Dickerson, Tammy (Scott) Sigsworth, Tracie (Tony) Rotuno, Marion Burnworth, Thomas Simpson, Eddie Stephens II, Amy (Matt) Sak, Shelly (Mike) Santone, Shawn Hamilton; great-grandchildren Elizabeth (Josh) Tarr, Ryan Dickerson, Johnny Sigsworth, Hannah Sigsworth, Andrew Sigsworth, Brayden Rotuno, Miranda Burnworth, Emaley Burnworth, Colin Kvoriak, Lillie Fabian, Grady Stephens, Hunter Sak, Tyler Sak, Ashton Sak, Mason Santone, Gemma Santone, Josh Hamilton; great-great grandson Finley Tarr; siblings Lionel, Loverta, Clavis; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter Lindsey Rotuno; parents Vernon and Myrtle Dickerson; siblings Loretta, Junior, Elmo, Lewis, Donald. Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 10:30 am until the time of service at 12pm at West Ridge Enterprise Baptist Church, 46280 Telegraph Rd., S. Amherst. Wearing of masks is requested. Rev Roger Rice will officiate. Burial will follow at River Road Cemetery, Lagrange.
