Lavinia Mayse's Obituary
Lavinia Mayse (nee Webb), age 74, of North Ridgeville, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at St. John Medical Center, Westlake, following a long illness.
She was born in Jackhorn, Kentucky and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1963.
She worked as a custodian for Olmsted Falls City Schools for 29 years, retiring in 2002.
Lavinia was a member of Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville.
She loved children, sewing, shopping and was a great cook. She was everyone's best friend. She enjoyed helping family and friends with tax preparations and was a whiz on the computer.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Jack; son, Leonard (Doris) of New London; daughters, Susan Powers of Avon, Jacqueline Mayse of North Ridgeville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Beverly of Dayton, Linda Tompkins and Vivian Cook both of North Ridgeville, Jane (Raymond) Cook of Raleigh, North Carolina and brother, Larry Webb of Beckley, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by parents, Steve and Stella Webb; daughters, Marina Kimble and Elizabeth Ann Whiting; 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Rev. Ray Carpenter will officiate.
Burial will be in Fields Cemetery.
