Laverne Bernaciak's Obituary
Laverne B. Bernaciak (nee Avery), 90 of Wellington passed away peacefully April 15, 2010 at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington. She was born Feb. 10, 1920 in Cleveland and had been a resident of Wellington for some 20 years. She had been employed by Thompson Products, Cleveland during WW II and had also worked for Thibo Greenhouses in North Ridgeville until retiring in the 1970's. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wellington and she enjoyed travel, especially to the New England states and Hawaii as well as bus trips and tours. She also enjoyed cooking and home remodeling. Survivors include 2 sons, Dale (Diane) Bernaciak of Hudson and Kevin (fianc? Margaret Bowes) of Grafton, 3 grandchildren, Jennifer, William and Tia, 6 great grandchildren, Justin, Jarrod, Paige, Lydia, Jurney and Gia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, her parents, Wanda and Vallance Avery, a grandson, Jeff Bernaciak and by 2 brothers, Richard and Robert Avery. Friends will be received from 2-5 P.M. Sunday, April 18, 2010 in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, April 19, 2010. Rev. Lea Mahan, pastor of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, OH.
