Larry J. Baker's Obituary
Larry J. Baker, age 79, of Eaton Township, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at his home.
He was born on March 4, 1945, in Wooster Ohio and has been a resident of Eaton Township for the past 36 years. He worked as a tow motor operator for General Motors, retiring in 2007 after 39 years of service.
He enjoyed golf, bowling and was an avid woodworker, building a covered bridge over his pond which is in the historical record. The summer months would find Larry working in the yard and manicuring his lawn every other day.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary (nee Martin); son Christopher (Rebecca) Baker of FL; daughter Michelle (Ed) Renner of Norwalk; stepsons Jeremy Black of TN and Joshua Black of Grafton; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother David (Ann) Baker of IN; sisters Marie Patterson of Chillicothe and Linda (Bob) Dagastino of VA; many nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Laura (nee Shaffer) and Arlie Baker.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral Service Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Darrell Meyers will officiate. Interment will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
