Lara R. Woodard's Obituary
Lara R. Woodard (nee Bruce), age 90, of Elyria, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Wesleyan Village. She was born in Contula, TN and had been a resident of Elyria since 1945. Lara worked at Ciba Corning Corporation of Oberlin for 15 years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Sheffield Village. Survivors include her son, Ricki (Michelle) Forgues of North Canton, daughters, Barbara Moore of Wellington, Debra (Charles) Bearden of Carolina, West Virginia, 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Georgie (Steve) Green of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Forgues, sons, William and Richard Forgues, granddaughter, Amanda Heath, great-grandson, Daniel Heath, brothers, Calvin, Rubin and Charles Bruce, parents, William and Martha Bruce, sisters Emma Bennette, Florence Marie Wilson, Nora Joan, and Launa Bauer. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville, OH 44039 starting at 10am, until the time of service at 11am. Her brother-in-law Rev. Steve Green will officiate. Burial will follow at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
