Lanny D. Dingess' Obituary
Lanny D. Dingess, age 74, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
He was born on November 13, 1947 in Chapmanville, West Virginia and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 32 years, moving from Westlake and Bay Village. Lanny was a U.S. Army Veteran and went on to work as a machinist for Moen.
In his free time, Lanny enjoyed tinkering around the house, fishing and 3D archery target shooting. Lanny loved music and was versed in playing many different musical instruments. He also loved animals and nature and spent some of his happiest times fishing on the shores of Lake Erie or Nags Head, North Carolina
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Terry (nee Arnold); son Aaron Dingess of North Ridgeville; daughter Nicole (Ken) Allgood of Alexandria, Virginia; grandson Ian Allgood of Alexandria, Virginia; brothers Millard and Michael Dingess; sisters Cathy Dingess, Karen Sloan and Fonda Wasilaton; many nieces and nephews.
Lanny was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Pauline Dingess; brothers Ronnie and Ernest Dingess.
Memorial Service Saturday, August 27 at 12:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment will be private.
