Kenneth Scarbrough's Obituary
Kenneth R. Scarbrough, age 78 of Avon passed away suddenly on Saturday November 15, 2008 at his residence. He was born November 3, 1930 in Akron, OH and had been an Avon resident since 1999 moving there from North Ridgeville where he resided for 28 years. He was a retired mortgage loan officer for First Federal of Lakewood and had worked at the North Ridgeville branch as well as at the main office in Lakewood before retiring in 1987. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 12, Elyria. Ken was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and he enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife and best friend of 52 years, Donna (nee Anderson), son, David (Sue) Scarbrough, daughters, Kim (Richard) Arthur and Monica (Marvin) Rinella, grandchildren Kate, Jennifer, Adrianne, Cullen, Brittany, Kyle and Dominic, great grandchildren, Jada, Ashlyn and Zoe and brother, Donald Scarbrough. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia and Alvin Scarbrough and by a brother, Carl Scarbrough. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, November 20, 2008 in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where the family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until service time. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Memorial contributions are requested to the donor's favorite charity.
