Kenneth Grosser's Obituary
Kenneth C. Grosser, age 73, of North Ridgeville passed away Saturday at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past 25 years after moving from Seattle, Washington.
He was a graduate of St. Thomas Military Academy in St. Paul, MN. He then received his Bachelors degree in Geography and History from the University of Minnesota. He was a Master Sergeant in the US Army serving over 30 years, having served in Germany and the Far East. After the Korean War and Vietnam, he continued to serve his country in the US Army Reserves until 1984.
Mr. Grosser enjoyed traveling, giving history lectures, and volunteering with AARP helping seniors with their tax preparations.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the Germany-American Club, D.A.N.K. and the Cleveland MAENNERCHOR Club, along with the Victory Service Club in London.
Survivors include his wife Glennis (nee Clay), Daughter Erika (Tom) Whelan of North Olmsted, son Colin (Michele) Grosser of Camillus, NY, grandchildren Sean Whelan, Ian Grosser, Madison and Alana Whelan, and his sister Cecilia Working of Maple Grove, Minnesota.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Florence Grosser and his brother James Grosser.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road N. Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday followed by 11 AM Mass at St. Peter Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
