Kenneth Wayne "Ken" Coffey's Obituary
Kenneth W. “Ken” Coffey, age 71, of Columbia Station, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Heights, after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 8, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky, and has been a resident of Columbia Station for the past 5 years, moving from North Ridgeville. Ken was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, and went on to work on the assembly line at the Ford Motor Company.
While his kids were young, he was a Little League baseball coach. He was also an avid football fan, enjoyed golfing and fishing, and collected swords.
He is survived by his wife Filomena (nee Gavino); daughter Betty Emery; sons John W. and Paul “Danny” Coffey; grandchildren Elizabeth, Denise and Paul Jr.; parents George Coffey and Betty C. Roberts; stepbrothers Rick and Ed Roberts and Ronnie and Doug Coffey; many nieces, nephews and good friends in North Ridgeville and Columbia Station.
Ken was preceded in death by his stepmother Maxine Coffey and stepfather Edward Roberts.
Funeral Service Wednesday, December 12 at 1:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will be in Fields Cemetery, N. Ridgeville.
