Kenneth Cartwright's Obituary
Kenneth Cartwright, age 66, of Cambridge and formerly North Ridgeville, died Thursday at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a sudden illness.
He was born in Birchton, West Virginia and had been a resident of Cambridge since 2000 moving from North Ridgeville where he had lived most of his life.
Mr. Cartwright served in the US Air Force.
He worked in the maintenance department at General Motors Parma Chevy Plant for 32 years, retiring in 1988.
He enjoyed hunting, his horses and riding his ATV.
He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 1005.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sue (nee Cooley), daughter, Glenda Sue Thompson of North Ridgeville, three grandchildren, sister Jeanette Allen of York, South Carolina, brothers Bob of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Leroy of York, South Carolina, Arthur of Greenville, South Carolina and Thomas of Eunice, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fannie and James Cartright and infant sister, Earcel Louise Cartwright.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:30AM in the funeral home. Rev. Paul Oberhaus, Pastor of Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgeville Cemetery.
