Kelleen S. Strickler's Obituary
Kelleen “Kelly” Sue Strickler (nee Kerstetter) age 58, of Clermont, Florida, formerly of Elyria passed away Wednesday July 17, 2019 at her home after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma.
She was born to James & Carol Kerstetter (nee Tomasheski) December 21, 1960 in Elyria, where she had resided until moving to Clermont, FL in 2015. She graduated from Elyria West in 1979 and went on to earn a degree in nursing from L.C.C.C. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 27 years at UH Elyria Medical Center (formerly known as Elyria Memorial Hospital).
She enjoyed going on cruises, shopping sprees, casino’s, Disneyworld and living in Florida.
Kelly, who was loved so much by her family and whose memory will be cherished forever is survived by her husband of 20 years Timothy, daughters Melissa (Ken) Watson of Elyria, Ashley Nemes of Las Vegas, Katie Nemes of Elyria; step-daughter Juliann Strickler of Toledo; son Jason Clevenger of Elyria; stepsons Joseph Strickler of Columbus, Jacob Strickler of Lorain, Jonathon Strickler of Lorain; grandchildren Carson and Mariah Clevenger, Brandon and Ashley Watson; sisters Kathy Kerstetter of Elyria, Kristy (Gordon) Sawyers of Elyria, daughter- in -law of David & Jackie Strickler of Mansfield, aunt, Linda (Richard) Lakocy of Grafton.
She was preceded in death by her brother SGT. James A. Kerstetter in 2010.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Monday at 10AM in the funeral home. Rev. Bob Franco will officiate. Private inurnment will take place in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
