Keith Shoemaker's Obituary
Keith E. Shoemaker, age 46, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly, Friday, January 14, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Columbus, grew up in Heath, until the age of 5, when he moved to Elyria. He was a resident of North Ridgeville since 1992.
He served in the US Army during Desert Storm.
Keith worked as a corrections officer for the Grafton Correctional Institute for 16 years until becoming disabled in 2009.
He was currently attending ITT Technical Institute in Strongsville studying Computer-aided Design.
He was an avid Steelers fan, enjoyed 60's and 70's muscle cars, studying history and was very patriotic.
Survivors include his wife, Jean (nee Klomstad); sons, Thomas of Barberton, Joshua of North Ridgeville; mother, Neoma Shoemaker of Grove City; brothers, Steven and Mitch both of Columbus, Kevin of Grove City; and sister, Missy (Scott) Heardman of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Shoemaker.
Friends may call from 12 noon until time of memorial service at 1 PM Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
