Keith "Andy" Grove's Obituary
Keith Andrew Grove Sr, known to everyone as Andy, was born February 5, 1943 in Huntington,
WV and was called home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2023. His family moved to
Cleveland, OH where he met the love of his life, Gloria (Woodside) Grove. Once united they
were unstoppable in building their life together. After 58 years, they would sing their favorite
song “Young Love” together.
Andy was proud to have belonged to the 82nd Airborne Division while serving in the United
States Army.
Throughout Andy’s life he never met a stranger and always left a lasting impression whether it
was with testimony about God, singing, playing the guitar, a simple conversation or a great
story. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had unconditional love
and protectiveness for all his family. Andy loved being a skilled tradesman. He spent the
majority of his welding career at Ford Motor Company. He was a lifelong union man and retired
a proud member of the UAW Local 1250.
Andy had a deep faith and was a long-time member of the Avon Church of God. He was also an
active member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge #781.
Andy is survived by his wife Gloria Grove, daughters, Zintka Fox of Tionesta PA and Tammi
(Patty Haberman) Grove of Kyle TX, his sons, Melvin (Sylvia) Grove of Sullivan OH, Keith
(Holly) Grove II of Lima OH, Son-in-law Earl Walker of Concord SC, grandchildren; Cassie
(Alan) Harle, Shayne Allen, Cortney (Michael) Phillips, Adam Grove, Nicholas Zuchowski,
Maureen Marshall, Casey Grove, Keith Grove III, Madison Grove, Melanie Grove, Andrew
Grove, Cole Fox, Wyatt Grove, Evan Grove, and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived
by his sisters; Joyce Grove of Brownsville CA, Crystal Anderson of Cleveland OH, Edna
“Shorty” Adams of Clear Lake CA, Sheila Roach of Riverbank CA, and many nieces, nephews,
and cousins. In addition, Andy leaves behind his beloved four wheeled beauty Lucille (1979
Lincoln), and furbabies; Bandi, Maggi, and Babi.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Andrea Hoyle-Grove, grandchildren Brittany, Brandon,
and Taylor, parents George and Marjorie Grove and sister Janice Balcita.
Family and friends are welcome Friday, March 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bogner
Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where a funeral service
will be held Saturday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m. Burial with full military honors by VFW Post 9871 will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
