Kathy Whitten's Obituary
Kathy Marie Whitten, age 51, of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2008, at University Hospital, Cleveland, following a short illness.
Born in Elyria, she grew up in North Ridgeville where she lived for the past 13 years moving from Baltimore, Maryland where she resided for 15 years.
Kathy worked for the City of North Ridgeville in the Service Department.
She loved the ocean, traveling, playing games of chance and tormenting her nephews.
Survivors include her life partner of 9 years, Margie Vacca and Margie's daughter, Nina both of North Ridgeville; parents, Joseph and Lucille Whitten of North Ridgeville; brother, Ken Whitten of Elyria; nephews, Eric (Meagan) Whitten of Wellington, Ken Jr. (Jen) Whitten of Elyria; 3 great-nephews; 3 great-nieces and grandmother, Mary Lou Woody of Crossville, TN.
Friends may call Sunday from 2PM until the time of services at 5:00PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. John Fairweather, Pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ, North Ridgeville, will officiate.
