Kathryn Hartman's Obituary
Kathryn Frances Hartman, age 80, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Saint John West Shore Hospital, Westlake; following a short illness.
She was born in Detroit, MI and had lived in North Ridgeville the past three years; having moved from Salem, OR. She had previously lived in Elyria during the 1980's. She was a graduate of East Michigan University with an Associate degree in social work.
Ms. Hartman had worked as a counselor for the Lorain County Department of Human Services and also at the Glenbeigh Rehabilitation Center in Ashtabula County.
She attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Elyria.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing.
She served as a volunteer at the Elyria YMCA; teaching water aerobics and did the same at the YMCA in Salem, OR. She also was a member of the Garden Club in Salem, Oregon.
Survivors include her daughter, MeloDee (Daniel) Decheek, of Columbia Station; sons, John Brandeberry, of Salem, OR and Mark Brandeberry, of Lake Worth, FL; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Timothy Casey in 2004; great-granddaughter, Ashley Rae Casey-Asp; parents, John and Gertrude (nee Henneberger) Hartman; and brother, Lawrence Hartman.
The family will receive friends at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville on Tuesday, October 17th; from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at 6:00 PM. Pastor Robert Bjelica of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Elyria will officiate.
