Kathleen Shepherd's Obituary
Kathleen Shepherd (nee Finnerty), 63, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at her home in North Ridgeville.
Kathleen was born on December 29, 1947 in Glasgow, Scotland. Her primary passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and dining out.
Survivors include her son, Scott of North Ridgeville; daughters, Shelley (Jeffrey) Eberhardt of North Ridgeville and Stephanie (Timothy) Orear of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Kathryn, Daniel and Anna; sisters, Marion Edwards, Anne Halenar and Deborah Finnerty-Carney; and her dog, Jackie.
Predeceased by her parents Hugh Finnerty and Marion Finnerty (nee McPherson), and brother, Patrick Finnerty.
Friends & family will be received at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville on Tuesday, June7, 2011 from 5 PM until the time of memorial service in the funeral home at 6 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy Cancer Center, 41201 Schadden Rd., Elyria, 44035 or Lorain County Free Clinic, 3323 Pearl Ave., Lorain, OH 44055. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Ruben Escuro and his staff at the Mercy Cancer Center for their tremendous care and compassion during Kathleen’s long battle with cancer.
