Julia Olasky's Obituary
Julia Olasky, (nee Svegda), age 90, of North Ridgeville, passed away on December 19, 2016 at the Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville after a lengthy illness.
She was born on December 19, 1926 in Cleveland and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 6 years, moving from Parma. She was a past parishioner at Holy Family Church in Parma and worked as a seamstress for A-Best Products in Cleveland for many years.
Julia was very a very outgoing woman who was not one to sit idle around the house. She enjoyed traveling to casinos and playing the slot machines. She liked to crochet and the warmer months would find her tending to her garden.
She is survived by her daughters Florence (Dan) Vatavuk of North Olmsted and Marilyn (Mike) Hughes of North Ridgeville; son Bob (Tracy) Olasky of Parma; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Sr.; son Leonard Jr. and parents Nick and Anna Szegda.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Andrew Hoover will officiate. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
