Julia A. Evard's Obituary
Julia A. Evard (nee Barnes), age 81, of Spring Hill, Florida and formerly North Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill.
She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and had been a resident of Spring Hill for the past 16 years, moving from North Ridgeville.
She was the Principal at St. Mary’s school in Vermilion until she retired in 1994.
Julia was a member of St. Theresa’s in Spring Hill, where she sang in the choir and former member of St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville.
She enjoyed playing bridge, sewing and loved to watch baseball.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Joseph Sr.; sons, Joseph Evard Jr. and Jim (Gretchen) Evard both of North Ridgeville; daughters, Julia (Vincent) Oelker of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mary (Krist) Slanczka of Sheffield Lake, Jean (David) Becks of North Ridgeville and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mary (nee Toomey) Barnes; sister, Joan Oliver.
Friends may call Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 6-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10AM at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Andrew Hoover will be the celebrant. Please meet at church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
