Judith A. Bell's Obituary
Judith A. Bell (née Mason), 88, of Avon, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Avon Oaks Nursing Home.
She was born October 12, 1937, in Elyria, Ohio. Judith had lived most of her life in Elyria but also previously resided in Washington, Michigan and Lorain, Ohio. She was a member of the Advent Episcopal Church in Westlake and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Judith worked as a registered nurse for over 50 years after her graduation from M.B. Johnson School of Nursing, including at Elyria Memorial Hospital, LCCC and Welcome Nursing Home.
Judith had a deep love for music and played violin in the Symphony West Orchestra. She also enjoyed traveling and devoted much of her life to caring for her younger sister. Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to family and friends will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Susann) Aldrich of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; daughter, Shari (Robert) Stanton of Washington, Michigan; her stepchildren Gary Bell, Karen Adley, Linda Minnich and Kathy Allgood; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Janice (Wayne) Stanko of Asheville, North Carolina, and Mary Lee Pankoff of Dublin, Ohio. She is also survived by her former husband Ronald Aldrich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bell; her parents, Phyllis M. (née Wheatley) and Herbert K. Mason; and sisters, Patricia Beattie and Valerie Mason and her stepson Jeff Bell.
Friends may call on Friday, June 12th, from 12-noon until the service begins at 1pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Private Burial will follow at Brookdale Cemetery.
