Joylene Lovell's Obituary
Joylene Lovell, (nee Smith), age 77, passed away peacefully at her home in North Ridgeville on August 27, 2012, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Sugartown, Louisiana on December 5, 1934, and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for most of her life.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville and volunteered her time to both the church and school.
Joylene enjoyed the outdoors, and loved fishing, camping and spending time in her garden. She was also fond of oil painting, sewing and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Terri Tomazic of Elyria, Darlene (Robert) Pardee of Grafton, Annette (Claude) Marsaw of Grafton and Linda (Anthony) Phillips of Elyria; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister Laura Hollyfield of Lake Charles, LA; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Russell S. Lovell; parents Horace and Vera (nee Moses) Smith; brother James Smith; sisters Juanita Simmons, Opal Wornell, Pauline Hyatt and Mabel Harvey; son-in-law Raymond Tomazic.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
