Joyce Louella Moore's Obituary
Joyce Louella Moore, age 84, of Elyria, passed away on Thursday, April 20 at University Hospital in Cleveland after a brief illness.
She was born on August 5, 1932 in Wooster and has been a lifelong resident of Elyria, moving from North Ridgeville.
Joyce worked as a courier for Elyria Memorial Hospital, and had previously worked at General Industries and as a bank teller for Great Northern Bank.
She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan, enjoyed collecting angels, and was devoted to her family, a loving mother who was named the Elyria Elks Mother of the Year in 1997.
Joyce is survived by her sons Timothy (Pattie) Murphy of Elyria and Daniel Murphy of North Ridgeville; daughter Cheryl (Ron) Tedder of Rincon, GA; 2 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister Sharon Alexander of Jacksonville, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Moore; son Edward Kenneth Murphy; daughter Linda Joyce Murphy; parents Louella and Kenneth Geog; brothers Harold and Don Miller.
Memorial Service Sunday, April 23 at 3:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Inurnment Brookdale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio 2831 Prospect Ave., Cleveland 44115.
