Joy Moore's Obituary
Joy Ann Moore (nee Elliott), 67 passed away suddenly on Friday, December 22, 2006 at her Avon residence.
She was born June 22, 1939 in Cleveland, and had resided in Westlake and North Olmsted as well. She had been a resident of Avon for the past four years.
Mrs. Moore assumed many positions as a business owner, bookkeeper, loan officer, and caretaker. She was involved in the real estate industry for more than thirty-five years during which she co-owned and operated Lawrence Realty, Inc. with her husband. She was also affiliated within the mortgage industry for the past fifteen years having been president of Lakeshore Mortgage and spending the past four years with Gold Medal Mortgage in Avon.
Mrs. Moore served as the president of the Cleveland Marshall Law Wive's Club in 1967, was the president of the Fairview Women's Club in the nineteen eighties, and was the treasurer for the Emerald Valley Investment Club in Westlake during the nineties.
She was a loving, caring, and compassionate person who enjoyed miniature doll houses and trains, flower arranging, and decorating her home for the seasons and holidays.
Surviving are her husband of forty-six years, Don; and many cousins and God children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Claude and Rose Elliott. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Thursday at 9:30AM. A 10:00AM Mass will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, pastor, will be the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Academy, 3430 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland, Ohio 44111.
