Josephine Thimke's Obituary
Josephine C. Thimke (nee Fischer), age 98, of N. Ridgeville, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Center Ridge Health Campus, N. Ridgeville, following a short illness.
She was born in Denver, Colorado and had been a life long resident of N. Ridgeville.
Josephine was employed for several years at Romec Pump Co., Elyria and Corrugated Box Factory, Avon.
Mrs. Thimke was a lifetime parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church, N. Ridgeville where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, a former member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John, a member of N. Ridgeville Senior Center and enjoyed flower gardening.
Survivors include daughters, Beverly (Dale) Schroeder and Dorothy Kopp both of N. Ridgeville; son, Robert (Sandy) of N. Ridgeville; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony in 1990; sisters, Pearl Stark, Alta Fischer and brother, Robert Fischer.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-8PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held at 9:00AM on Monday.
A 9:30AM mass will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
