Josephine Aunchman's Obituary
Josephine A. Aunchman (nee Ankuda) age 88, of Fairview Park, OH passed away peacefully Monday, November 6, 2006, at Rae Ann Suburban Nursing Home, Westlake, OH following a long illness.
She was born in Springfield, Vermont where she graduated from the Springfield High School Class of 1936, and lived most of her life there until moving to Fairview Park in 1999.
Mrs. Aunchman had worked as a cook for the Springfield School District for many years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Springfield, Vermont, the Catholic Daughter's Association of the church and the 1918 Club.
She enjoyed spending her summers in Maine, cooking, sewing and knitting.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Aunchman of Fairview Park, Susan Napoli of St. Augustine, FL and Springfield, VT, Karlene Berman of Belmont, California; four granddaughters, Leah Stanisic, Rachel Berman, Siri Berman, and Kate Berman; and one great-granddaughter, Lola Josephine Stanisic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1998; parents, Joseph and Anelia Ankuda; three brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends Saturday November 11, 2006 from 9:30AM until 10:30AM at Davis Memorial Chapel, 99 Summer Street Springfield, VT. 11AM Mass will follow at St. Mary's Church, 40 Summer Street, Springfield, Vermont. Reverend Peter Williams will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery Springfield, Vermont.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44120.
Local arrangements are under the direction of David Bogner Family Funeral Home North Ridgeville, Ohio.
