Joseph M. Mederer's Obituary
Joseph M. Mederer, age 88, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at O’Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville. He was born in Cleveland and has lived in North Ridgeville for the past 59 years. He served in the US Army in Alaska during the Korean conflict. He was owner/operator of Mederer Heating and Sheet Metal. Joe enjoyed bowling, hunting especially for deer, and woodworking where he made benches for the whole family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary; children Joseph J. (Erin) of Columbia Station, John (Margie) of Elyria Township, Brian (Michelle) of Grafton, Elizabeth (Michael) Ivan of Olmsted Twp.; grandchildren Mitchell, Brandon, Sarah, Chris; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Henrietta Terlaak of Olmsted Falls; brother James (Lorri) Belan of AZ; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lilian; brother-in-law John Terlaak; sisters Kay Vassar, Mimi Hagert; brothers John Mederer, Bill Belan. Memorial visitation Monday, December 30, 2019 from 4PM until the time of service at 7PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev Bob Franco will officiate.
