Joseph Markiewicz's Obituary
Joseph "Mark" Markiewicz, age 50, of North Ridgeville, passed away Monday May 25, 2009 at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Cleveland and has resided in North Ridgeville the past 17 years.
Mr. Markiewicz was an inspector for Bettcher Industries in Vermilion.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville.
Mr. Markiewicz enjoyed music, watching NASCAR, drag racing and working on cars. He was an all around "Mr. Fix-It".
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Patricia (nee Schartman), son, Chris (Stephanie) Markiewicz of Berea, daughter, Lisa (Benjamin) Fischer of South Daytona, Florida, grandchildren Joe and Jenna Markiewicz, brothers, James (Pat) Markiewicz of Willowick and John (Sandy) Markiewicz of Willoughby and a sister, Geraldine (Ken, deceased) Gage of Brooklyn, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Helen (nee Pawlack) Markiewicz, and sisters Donna Klepatski and Pat Harris.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Saturday in the funeral home followed by 10 AM funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, pastor will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
