Joseph Deeks' Obituary
Joseph W. Deeks, age 68, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, June 6, 2011 at his residence in North Ridgeville.
He was born in Berea and had been a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville.
Joseph worked as a carpenter for McCullough Construction Company, officially retiring seven years ago, but he was never short on jobs to do.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, model trains, sports and wood working.
Survivors include his daughters, Christine (Andrew) Lenart of Bainbridge Township and Julie (Brian) Ferancy of Amherst; son, Greg (Kim) of Avon Lake; grandchildren, Andrew and Christopher Lenart, Kayla and Evan Ferancy and Ava and Jonathon Deeks; brothers, Dan, Ray, Lee, Jerry and Chuck Deeks; sisters, Mary Gibbons and Rita Hogan.
Predeceased by his wife Rosemary (nee Smith) Deeks; parents, Walter and Pearl (nee Fassinger) Deeks.
Friends will be received from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where a prayer service will begin at 9:30 AM followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
