Joseph Cieszynski's Obituary
Joseph R. Cieszynski, age 72, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his home.
He was born on February 12, 1941 in Johnstown, PA, and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 40 years, moving from Cleveland.
Joseph was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of AMVETS, the National Geographic Society and a 35 year member of Teamsters Local 293. He worked as a warehouse manager at Erie Distributing and American Vineyards, retiring in 2004.
He enjoyed reading, with current events and politics being his favorite subjects. Joseph was also an avid fisherman, and each year would find he and his friends travelling to Michigan's Upper Peninsula for the fall salmon run. More recently, he would join his buddies spending time outdoors at the Rocky River Reservation.
Joseph is survived by his son Joseph (Cherie) Cieszynski of Wauwatosa, WI; daughter Lisa Marie (Sam Alabady) Cieszynski; grandsons Jacob and Matthew Cieszynski; brother Frank Cieszynski of Parma Heights; nephew Michael Cieszynski of Cleveland; nieces Patty (John) Rockman of Powell, OH and Michelle (Adam) Cogar of Mentor; brother-in-law of Linda Vocaturo and Katherine Brock.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville where family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service. Bishop Stan Bilinski will officiate.
A private inurnment will take place in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
