Jonathan C. Cotleur's Obituary
Jonathan C. Cotleur, age 38, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, August 24, 2020, taking his own life after suffering from mental illness throughout his adult life.
He was born on December 16, 1981 in Cleveland and was a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville. He was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School, where he was an honor student. He went on to attend both Ohio Northern and Bowling Green Universities.
Jonathan was a humble soul who had a very big heart. He had an exceptional memory, and his love of watching movies, (Quentin Tarantino movies, Anime and Sci-Fi among his favorites) led him to be an expert on movie trivia. He was very artistic, a great writer and an avid reader. Jonathan was a huge animal lover, especially of his dogs, who along with his family, miss him already.
Jonathan is survived by his parents Deborah (nee Gigliotti) and John Cotleur of North Ridgeville; brother Justin (and his wife Sara) Cotleur of North Ridgeville; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Vincent and Jaqueline Gigliotti and paternal grandparents Larry and Toni Cotleur.
Memorial on Sunday, September 6, 2020, from 2 to 5 pm at American Legion Post 421, 22001 Brookpark Road (at West 220th Street), Fairview Park, OH 44126.
