Jon Carje's Obituary
Jon Ronald Carje, age 65, of North Ridgeville passed away Sunday January 17, 2010 at St. John West Shore Hospital,Westlake from complications of Muscular Dystrophy.
He was born in Quantico, VA and grew up in West Park, Ohio. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past 35 years since moving from Fairview Park.
He retired from the Plain Dealer advertising department in 1998 after 33 years.
Mr. Carje enjoyed golfing, boating, photography, motocross racing, traveling and playing games of chance.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol (nee Kenyo), son Chris of Euclid, Daughter Carissa Carje of San Francisco, step sisters, Pam and Lisa, brother in laws, Gene (Dixie) Kenyo and Paul Brickenden and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Vincent Joseph Carje, mother, Celestine M. (nee Kollar), step mother, Eleanor (nee Shofar) Carje, brother Richard W. Carje, and sister in law Audie Brickenden.
Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville where funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday. Reverend Bob Franco will officiate.
