Jom A. Kinzie's Obituary
Jom A. Kinzie (nee Schmitt), age 88, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the North Ridge Health Center.
She was born in Garfield Hts. and was a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 3 years moving from Cleveland, where she lived for most of her life.
She worked as a receptionist for Premier Industries in Cleveland for 15 years, retiring in 1995.
She also worked as a hostess for The Dock Restaurant in Lakewood.
Jom enjoyed ice skating and help found Winterhurst Figure Skating Club in Lakewood in 1976. She loved to dance and travel with her family to Canada.
Survivors include her daughter, Jillian (Jo Throckmortan) Kinzie of Bloomington, Indiana; son, Jack (Melissa) Kinzie of North Ridgeville; sister, Helen Sullivan of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Kinzie; parents, George and Ellen (nee Foley); brothers, Matt, Joseph, George, Frank, Robert and William Schmitt; sisters, Mary Radigan, Margaret Preyer and Betty McCormick.
Friends may call Monday from 4PM until the time of services at 7PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
