Jolan Arendash's Obituary
Jolan Arendash (nee Bernath), age 83, of Olmsted Township, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland.
She was born on January 22, 1938 in Hungary, moved to the United States in 1949, and has been a resident of Olmsted Township since 1962, moving from Lakewood. Jolan was a survivor of the Holocaust, having been detained in the German concentration camps during World War II.
In her free time, she enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas.
Jolan is survived by her husband of 64 years, Paul; sons John (Maria) Arendash of Grafton, Paul (Cindy) Arendash of Columbia Station and Michael (Mary Beth) of Columbia Station; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brother Steven Bernath of Denham Springs, LA; sister-in-law Judy Bernath of LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eszter (nee Demeter) and Nick Bernath; sisters Anna Noormaa, Margit Toth, Polly Sullivan and Susan Johnson; brothers Frank and Joseph Bernath.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday at 11:30 in the funeral home. Rev. Charles Ryba will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
