John Weber's Obituary
John T. Weber, age 85, of Elyria, died Sunday at Grace Hospital, Amherst following a brief illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Elyria for the past 45 years. He previously had lived in North Ridgeville.
Mr. Weber served in the US Army during WWII.
He worked in the maintenance department at Republic Steel, Elyria for 16 years retiring in 1986.
He was a member of North Ridgeville Church of Christ.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rae Marie (nee Gore); daughters, Leanne (Oral) O'Dell of Elyria, Tami (Gary) Goad of Grafton, Betty Jo (Jim) Day of Montgomery, Alabama; sons, Jeff (Carol) Walters of Warsaw, Ohio and Terry Weber of California; sister, Florence Harold of Sunland, California and 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Weber; his parents and his twin brother, Mike Weber.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00AM in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Pastor Jim Cake, of the Belden Methodist Church, Grafton, will officiate.
Burial will be private.
