John C. Theobald's Obituary
John C. Theobald, age 92, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Lorain and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 2017 moving from Cleveland, where he spent most of his life.
He served in the US Navy during WWII and Korea and worked as a Controller for Werner G. Smith Corporation in Cleveland, retiring in 2007 after 27 years.
He was a member of St. Mark Parish in Cleveland where he was on the bowling and golf leagues.
Survivors include his daughter, Catherine (Tom Gardner) Theobald of Los Angeles; sons, John Theobald and Paul (Tanya) Theobald both of North Ridgeville; sisters, Bernadine (Albert) Doane of Amherst, Rose Marie Evans of Middlefield and Joan Wrenn of Palo Alto, California.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary in 2017, parents, Florian and Mabel (nee Metz) Theobald.
Friends may call Monday from 3-6PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. A Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:30AM at St. Mark Church, 15800 Montrose Ave., Cleveland. Rev. Adam Zajac will be the Celebrant. Please meet at church.
Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville.
