John A. Reese's Obituary
John A. Reese, age 76, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 2010, moving from Parma, where he spent most of his life.
John served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a machinist for Lamson and Sessions in Cleveland for 23 years, then went on to work at Osborne Manufacturing, also in Cleveland, for 22 years, retiring in 2002.
He enjoyed working on cars, camping, traveling with his family and could often be found working around his yard or tending to his garden.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jeannine (nee Baxter); son, John C. (Alicia) of Avon; daughter, Jill I. (Craig) Zidow of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Jacob Vovak, Kaitlyn Vovak, Craig Zidow II, Angel Zidow, John B. Reese and Reagan Reese.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Reese; brothers, Jimmy and Donald Reese; sister, Carol Wineberg.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon, where family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the St. Mary Church or the St. Mary School Endowment Fund.
