John J Pilagonia's Obituary
John J. Pilagonia, age 57, of Elyria, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
He was born in Hempstead on Long Island in New York and had been a resident of Elyria for the past 25 years after moving from Hicksville, NY
John worked as a Master Mechanic in auto repair.
Born with a wrench in his hand he worked on lawn mowers and could fix just about anything, He was very creative and enjoyed 3D printing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie, daughters, Allie (Steven) Sedig of Ozark, Missouri, Ashley (Dominic) Armstrong of Parma, Brandi (Jacob) Axford of Elyria, Jamie (Dylan McAdams) Krantz of Olmsted Twp., Kiley (Jacob Londo) Krantz of Elyria, 7 grandchildren, sister, Carolyn (Danny Pernice) Pilagonia and fur babies Bella, Naky and May.
He was preceded in death by his infant granddaughter, Brooke Lynn Heller, and his parents, John and Carol Pilagonia.
The family will receive friends Monday January 29, 2024 from 9:30 AM until time of closing prayers at 10:15 AM at Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM Monday at St. Mary Parish, 320 Middle Avenue, Elyria, Rev. Charles Diederick, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will take place privately.
